How to check the optical motion sensor

How to check the optical motion sensor

Is your Lua having any issue with tracking movement or reading a QR code?

Please check if the optical motion sensor is aligned:

1. It’s located under the display

A. If the optical motion sensor is aligned with the hole, it’s a software issue.

  • Please try to scan the "reset" QR code just after placing it back the the induction transmitter. To find the "reset" QR code in Lua app, please go the the menu -> Setup Lua -> Reset Lua and place the QR code 30cm/10" in front of the display and slowly move towards it until you see circular arrows.

  • Or perform a Firmware update

B. If the optical motion sensor is not aligned with the hole or missing, it’s a hardware issue.

  • A tutorial to fix this issue is available here.

  2. Remove the inner pot from Lua.
  3. Open the perlite bag and pour the content inside the inner pot.
  4. Place your plant on top of the perlite and fill the gaps with soil. The surface of the soil should be at the same level as the inner pot top.
